“Everyone can play a role in protecting the most vulnerable and only together can we achieve a safe environment for everyone”.

International Protection Expert

From an early age it was clear that Caroline wanted to help the most vulnerable in the world. Through her parents love of travel she was exposed to different cultures and understood the importance of internationalism. She used this experience throughout her 20 year career to become an internationally acknowledged expert in child protection with a specific focus on missing children issues and digital protection online.

Caroline started her child protection career with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children collaborating with global law enforcement community to combat online child sexual exploitation and gain experience in investigations and first response.

Caroline joined the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children in 2006 where she took up the missing children issue and established a Global Network of child protection professionals coordinating together to strengthen the prevention, response and recovery of missing children.

Caroline has led the strategic development of national missing child responses including AMBER Alerts across continents. To guide international governments in the implementation, Caroline created best practices and frameworks. She hosted customized workshops and trainings to share her extensive expertise and ensure long term sustainability of any programs.

Caroline used her cross-industry experience to engage with the private sector to establish working groups and coalitions to tackle online harm on social media and gaming platforms. This led to the establishment of the Trust and Safety Forum in 2022.

In 2021 Caroline launched HMC Group LLC with the aim to share her extensive knowledge to help any organization who is interested in protecting vulnerable people.
